Hardware drawings and installation references
Review the manufacturer's original documents, then confirm the drawing and mounting details for your order.
- RF hardware catalog: top-mount spigot dimensions (PDF, page 12)
- Top-mount spigot connections on wood and concrete (13-page engineering PDF)
The engineering reference was prepared for RF Transparent in Canada on May 28, 2024. It does not establish approval for every US project. Confirm the selected glass, hardware, supporting structure and local requirements before installation.
Request drawings for your projectPlan before drilling
Use the measurement guide, run-length helper and free planning worksheet to prepare your layout before requesting a quote.
Confirm the layout
Measure each run, corner, wall and gate opening. Confirm panel sizes, finished height and glass clearances for your selected hardware.
Verify the mounting structure
Have the supporting structure and anchors checked for your project. Wood screws require suitable structural framing or blocking; deck boards alone are not a mounting specification.
Use the model-specific drawing
Confirm spigot positions, anchor spacing, edge distances, embedment and tightening instructions before drilling. Use the approved layout for your mounting surface.
Install and inspect
Follow the supplied glass, connector and cap-rail instructions. Check alignment and every connection before the railing is used.
Installation FAQ
Your tools depend on the specified hardware and substrate. Review the installation instructions for the required drill bits, sockets and torque tools. Use appropriate glass handling equipment and protective equipment.
A wood installation needs a suitable structural connection. Confirm framing, blocking, fasteners and edge distances for the actual deck before ordering or drilling. Deck boards alone do not establish a suitable mounting structure.
Spigot positions depend on the panel, hardware and approved layout. Do not use a universal spacing rule. Request the model-specific installation drawing for your glass size and mounting surface.
Ask your local building department about permits and applicable requirements before starting. Send us the project location, intended use and mounting details when requesting technical documents.
